Itinerary Highlights:

Depart USA on an overnight flight to Johannesburg International Airport (Pretoria), South Africa.

DAY 2-Pretoria
Arrive in Pretoria in the morning. Transfer to your hotel, rest up, and take a 3 hour city tour, exploring old Pretoria, the Voortrekker monument, and arts & crafts.

DAY 3-Blydespoort
Drive through the Transvaal on your way to the Kruger National Park. Stop at various historical towns along the way: Witbank, Belfast and Lydenburg. Visit Pilgrim’s Rest, a boomtown from South Africa’s gold era. This mining town tells the tale of the richest alluvial gold deposit in South Africa, found in 1873.

DAY 4-Mpumalanga
Drive into Mpumalanga along the Blyde River Canyon. Stop along the way to stand in awe at one of the seven wonders of the world. Gaze at the beautiful Mac Mac Falls.

DAYS 5 & 6-Kruger National Park
Arrive at the Kruger National Park. Take a morning game drive and scan the wilderness for Africa’s big cats. Spend the next two days taking a foot safari and a night game drive to capture all that the Kruger National Park has to offer. You can never see enough of Africa’s wild elephants, lions, hippo, buffalo and giraffes. In the evening of the second day, continue your journey through the Malelane Gate into Swaziland.

DAY 6-Swaziland
Spend the day in Swaziland’s capital, Mbabane. Visit the colorful marketplace that boasts beautiful local handicrafts. Dine on Swazi cuisine and learn about the Swazi culture.

DAY 7-Zululand/Hluhluwe Park
In the morning depart Swaziland for the Zulu region of South Africa. Visit an authentic Zulu village where you can learn their customs and traditions. Have an authentic Zulu lunch. Depart in the early evening for the Hluhluwe Reserve.

DAY 8-Hluhluwe Park
Roam the African Bush searching for white rhino and the rest of the African “Big 5″. From St. Lucia, take a boat cruise to spot hippo and crocodiles.

DAY 9-Durban
Depart for Durban in the early morning. A crossroads of many cultures, Durban offers you an excellent opportunity to learn about the people of South Africa. Visit the African Art Center or browse the Indian market. Afterwards, relax on the beach! You can also take a full day tour to the Valley of a Thousand Hills.

DAY 10-Johannesburg
Take a morning flight to Johannesburg. Spend the day exploring the de Wildt Animal Orphanage & Cheetah Research Project and view the famous King Cheetah, with unique spots. Also visit the Lion Park, where you can pet a lion cub and get your picture taken!

DAY 11-Depart Johannesburg
After a leisurely morning in “Jo’burg”, depart on your overnight flight to the USA.

DAY 12-Arrive USA
Arrive in the USA early in the morning.
