Tikal

Tikal is considered to be the most impressive of all Maya ruins. You will start early in the morning from San Pedro airport and fly to Flores, Guatemala where you will be met by a tour representative and transferred to Tikal.

You will be given a tour and lunch and then left to explore on your own. The highlight of Tikal is to climb to the top of Temple 4 which rises to the top of the rain forest canopy with an incredible view of the isolated Peten region of eastern Guatemala.

Temple 4 provides an excellent opportunity to see howler monkeys, parrots, macaws, toucans, and many other rain forest inhabitants. Later that afternoon, you will transfer to the Flores Airport for return flight to San Pedro arriving at 6:00 pm.
