Itinerary Highlights:

DAY 1-Arrive Quito
Arrive in Quito in the evening where you will be met by a local representative and transferred by private car to the Hotel Hilton Internacional for a stay of two nights.

DAY 2- Quito
Half day Quito scenic tour by private car. Drive along the broad avenues and see the impressive parliament Building whose stone mural records Ecuador’s history. Stroll the independence plaza, flanked by the cathedral and the Presidential Palace.

DAY 3-Quito-Otavalo
This morning you will be picked up at the hotel by the guide and driver for a spectacular 2 day – 1 night excursion of Otavalo country. Arrangements include accommodations at the exquisite La Mirage Country Inn, meals, private car transportation and English speaking guide service. Drive north through dramatic mountain landscapes dotted with tiny villages and pristine blue lakes. En-route visit San Antonio de Ibarra famous for its wood carvings. Upon arrival at Otavalo, check in at the La Mirage Country Inn.

DAY 4-Otavalo – Quito
Otavalo is South America’s most unique and famous Indian fair. The Otavalo Indians are an aristocratic, noble people, known as highly skilled weavers and prosperous merchants. This market has been here since pre-Incan times and is a shopper’s paradise piled high with magnificent woolen rugs, sculptures, colorful ponchos, jewelry, and attractive needlework. After lunch, return to Quito and transfer to Hotel Hilton International.

DAY 5-Quito – Baltura (Galapagos Islands)
You will be met at the hotel and transferred by private car to the airport for your flight to Baltra. Upon arrival at Baltra Island, you will be met by your guide and transferred to the dock to board the Delfin II for Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz Island). Lunch on board. Upon arrival in Puerto Ayora, check-in at the Hotel Delfin – 4 nights, including all meals and excursions. The Hotel Delfin has 20 rooms with private bathrooms and hot water showers. The guest rooms and panoramic dining room are located only steps away from a fine sandy beach near tidal lagoons and cactus forests where interesting Galapagos wildlife can be seen. The hotel has a large swimming pool. Afternoon panga ride to Bahia Divine and Punta Estrada. Dinner in the hotel dining room tonight.

DAY 6-Galapagos Island
After breakfast, depart for Charles Darwin Research Station for a morning visit and observe the Tortoise research and breeding programs. At 11:00 am transfer to the dock and board the Delfin II to go to Barrington island (Santa Fe). Lunch on board. Afternoon visit to the island to view an Opuntia cactus forest and see iguanas and other fascinating endemic wild life. Afterwards snorkel the clear waters with colorful fish and sea turtles. This area provides an excellent opportunity for you to see manta rays as well. Return to the hotel for dinner.

DAY 7-Galapagos Islands
After breakfast, board the Delfin II to go to North Seymour Island to view magnificent colonies of Blue-footed Boobies, Frigate birds and Swallow-tailed gulls. Young and old sea lions waddle along the shore as the circular path leads you through some of the largest and most active seabird breeding colonies in the islands. After lunch on board, disembark at Itabaca Channel to proceed by road to the highlands of Santa Cruz for a visit to the Pit Craters. Return to the hotel for dinner.

DAY 8-Galapagos Islands
After breakfast, board the Delfin II to visit Point Cormorant, Floreana Island. Floreana has more than 50 volcanic cones providing a unique and fascinating topography. At Point Cormorant clear water and interesting coral formations make for excellent snorkeling. This area is famous for its large population of Pink Flamingos as well. You will visit The Devil’s Crown, a shallow sunken crater which provides some of the best snorkeling in the Galapagos and swim with the sea lions in crystal clear water. Return to the Delfin II to sail around Champion and Enderby Islets. After lunch on board, disembark for a visit to Post Office Bay and a panga ride to Sea Lion Colony. Return to hotel for dinner.

DAY 9-Galapagos to Quito
After breakfast, transfer from Hotel Delfin by yacht to Baltra for the return flight to Quito. Upon arrival in Quito you will be met at the airport by our representative and transferred by private car to the Hotel Hilton Internacional for a stay of one night.

DAY 10-Depart Quito
You will be met at the hotel by our representative and transferred by private car to the airport in time for your flight.
