Itinerary Highlights:
DAY 1- Los Angeles to Guatemala City
Begin your Guatemala experience as you jet directly to the capital city. After arriving, transfer to your hotel and relax before the next day’s adventures get underway.
DAY 2- Lake Atitlan
After a morning touring the city, a short drive brings you to spectacular Lake Atitlan. We’ll travel by boat to an isolated Maya village and overnight in Panajachel.
DAY 3- Chichicastenango
Take the entire morning to explore the vibrant native market that attracts travelers year-round. Later, transfer to Antigua, Guatemala’s ancient capital city.
DAY 4- Antigua
Choose to spend your day touring this historic colonial city, or join a native guide for an adventurous hike up nearby Volcan Agua, a 12,000-foot peak with spectacular views of the countryside below.
DAY 5- Guatemala City
After breakfast in Antigua, depart for Guatemala City. An afternoon flight takes you to Tikal, in the heart of Guatemala’s northern jungle territory, the Peten.
DAY 6- Tikal National Park
Arise to the sounds of the jungle, just a short walk away from the remains of the Maya civilization’s cultural pinnacle. Wander through magnificent palaces and temples, and climb to the top of a sacred pyramid. Return to the airport for the flight back to Guatemala City.
DAY 7- Guatemala City to Los Angeles
Catch a morning flight to Los Angeles in time to make your connecting flight.
