Depart USA on an overnight flight to Johannesburg, South Africa.
Arrive in Johannesburg in the morning. Transfer to your hotel and rest up for the exciting journey ahead.
Breakfast in Johannesburg, then depart for Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa. Visit the Voortrekker Monument and the Kruger House. See gold pouring and African mine dancing in Gold Reef City, a park created from an old South African gold mine. Or take a side trip to the Cheetah Research Project and view the Rex Cheetah.
Drive into Mpumalanga along the Blyde River Canyon. Stop along the way to stand in awe at one of the seven wonders of the world. Gaze at the beautiful Mac Mac Falls.
DAY 5 & 6-Kruger National Park
Arrive at the Kruger National Park. Take a morning game drive and scan the wilderness for Africa’s big cats. Spend the next two days taking a foot safari and a night game drive to capture all that the Kruger National Park has to offer. You can never see enough of Africa’s wild elephants, lions, hippo, buffalo and giraffes. In the evening of the second day, continue your journey through the Malelane Gate into Swaziland.
Spend the day in Swaziland’s capital, Mbabane. Visit the colorful marketplace that boasts beautiful local handicrafts. Dine on Swazi cuisine and learn about the Swazi culture.
In the morning depart Swaziland for the Zulu region of South Africa. Visit an authentic Zulu village where you can learn their customs and traditions. Have an authentic Zulu lunch.
Depart for Durban in the early morning. A crossroads of many cultures, Durban offers you an excellent opportunity to learn about the people of South Africa. Visit the African Art Center or browse the Indian market. Afterwards, relax on the beach! You can also take a full day tour to the Valley of a Thousand Hills.
DAY 10-Port Elizabeth/Garden Route
Start your tour of the Garden Route in Port Elizabeth. Journey to the Garden of Eden, Knysna and the resort of Wilderness, after a refreshing lunch in Plettenberg Bay.
DAY 11-Garden Route
While continuing through the Garden Route to Cape Town, be sure to visit the Cango Caves. Home to the bushmen in the 19th century, this enormous system of caves is world famous. Arrive in Cape Town in the evening.
DAYS 12 & 13 -Cape Town
In Cape Town, you can choose from various activities. Travel the Cape Province sampling wines. Head to Cape Point and cablecar to Table Mountain. Sightsee at the Cape of Good Hope. Enjoy the beautiful Kierstenbosch Botanical Gardens that boast Africa’s captivating plant life. Study this region’s signature Cape Dutch architecture.
DAY 14-Depart Cape Town
After a leisurely morning in Cape Town, depart on your overnight flight to the USA.
DAY 15-Arrive USA
Arrive in the USA early in the morning.
