DAY 1-Depart USA
Depart USA on transatlantic flight to Bangkok
DAY 2- Enroute
Cross International Date Line
DAY 3- Bangkok
Morning Arrival in Bangkok, transfer to hotel.
DAY 4-Bangkok/Hanoi
Fly from Bangkok to Hanoi, transfer to hotel
DAY 5-Hanoi
Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his former residence, the 900 year old Temple of Literature, the Fine Arts Museum, and the Central Market
DAY 6-Hanoi/Halong Bay
Travel by road from Hanoi to Halong Bay via Haiphong.
DAY 7-Halong Bay/Hanoi
Enjoy a morning cruise around Halong Bay where limestone formations rise steeply out of the water to form thousands of uniquely shaped islands. Return to Hanoi in the afternoon
DAY 8-Hanoi/Danang
Fly to Danang and visit Cham Sculpture Museum and ancient town of Hoi An
DAY 9-Danang/Hue
Drive to Hue and enjoy the mountain views over the Hai Van Pass. Visit the royal citadel and take a boat trip along the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda
DAY 10-Hue/Ho Chi Minh City
Fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Afternoon sight seeing at the Presidential Palace and Cholon Chinatown district.
DAY 11- Ho Chi Minh City
Visit the Chu Chi Tunnels, the Quang Pagoda, Chinese Market, History Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral
DAY 12- Ho Chi Minh City
Drive to My Tho. Visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda. A boat trip takes you past fishing villages and farmlands of the Mekong Delta. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon. Dinner this evening includes a musical performance.
DAY 13- Ho Chi Minh City/Bangkok
Return to Bangkok or join our Angkor Wat extension of this trip.
