Australia: Cairns and Far North Queensland

Features: Queensland’s most northerly city, Cairns is the tourism gateway to the far North – to the Barrier Reef and the vast wilderness of the Cape York Peninsula.

It is a tropical city situated on Trinity Bay. To the north of Cairns is the beachside suburb of Palm Cove and further north is the sleepy seaside town of Port Douglas.
