Quepos – Manuel Antonio
Features: Quepos, located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, is a famous sport fishing center. 7 kilometers beyond Quepos are the perfect beaches of Manual Antonio National Park, one of the most popular in Costa Rica.
Three half moon beaches touch rain forests against a dramatic background of rugged cliffs. Manuel Antonio beach is one of the few places in Costa Rica where unspoiled forest grows right to the beach. There are several trails through the forest offering sightings of white-faced monkeys, spider monkeys, sloths and birds of many colors. Visitors can relax on an elegant beach among the orchids and watch the parrots fly over as the monkeys hop from tree to tree.
Quespos is 31/2 hours by road from San José or 20 minutes by air. Flights are approximately $35 each way.
White water rafting
Day trips can be arranged to raft the Naranjo as well as the Pecaure rivers from Quepos.
This area offers some exquisite trails and beaches for horseback riding that can arranged through your hotel.
