Features: Two world class live Aboards are providing various itineraries in and around Sorong.
The Pelagian offers 10-15 day trips from Sorong in order to explore the most remote areas. Itineraries include Sorong to the Raja Empat Islands and Misool, as well as trips from Sorong back to Kupang and Kupang to Bali.
The trips are scheduled to meet the best diving and marine life conditions through the year. The Kararu offers the opportunity to combine land based and liveaboard diving with 10-12 day itineraries departing from Sarong, and the option to be met at the Sorido Bay Resort.
These liveaboard trips will take you through unnamed island groups. Diving the reefs of mild sloping coral gardens with huge coral rocks and colourful soft corals, to steep walls and schooling fish. Land excursions include hikes through the jungle in search of the Red Bird of Paradise, giant hornbills, and cockatoos. Marine life ranges from wobbygong sharks to pigmy seahorses. At Wai Island there is wreck diving of a 1940′s American plane. This is truly a region of cutting edge diving visited by only few divers, with prolific and untouched marine life.
The Pelagian is 115 feet in length and accommodates 12 divers in 6 cabins with en-suite bathrooms. Diving is from the large dive deck or from their 2 custom 18-foot tenders.
The Kararu is a Phinisi Schooner built in traditional Indonesian style offering all modern amenities. This 125-foot vessel offers 9 guest cabins all with en-suite bathrooms. Diving is from the large dive deck or from their 2 custom 18-foot tenders.
