Atlantis Resort is a 1 hour and 15 min. flight from Manila or a 45 min. ferry ride from Cebu. If you choose to fly, make sure you get a good window seat to experience the fishing farms and beautiful topography. The fishing farms stretch for miles and appear as fenced water plots with stilted homes.
Upon arrival into Duamgete you will be met and assisted by a Atlantis Resort representative and transferred by van approximately 20 minutes through the bustling village of Dumagete. This transfer will open your eyes to a different way of life. Pass by the college, marketplace, carved wooden furniture stores and see the many motorcycle taxi’s.
The resort is rather remote and sits on the a golden brown sand beach nestled amongst a tropical garden south of the village. The resort offers spacious accommodations, a pool, dive shop, gift shop, oceanfront outdoor chef quality dining and bar. The dining is a very personal experience with the chef as he talks with you everyday to get your order for dinner and make sure your special requests are met. The dining is a great part of the experience in Dumagete, not to mention the quality service in all aspects of the resort.
The diving offers island days trips to Sumilan & Liloan, Apo Island, Siquijor and Balicasag or 5 minute local muck dives from the resort or house reef. At night enjoy the Mandarin Fish dive and many night creatures on the house reef.
Located just 3 hours south of Manila by land and boat transfer. The resort is nestled amongst the beach village of Sabang and a short drive from Puerto Galera.
The Sabang Village and the Resort are connected by a walkway that takes you from one end of the village to the other. The Philippine people are very friendly and enjoy interacting with tourists. The resort has a restaurant with a big variety of foods off the menu included in the meal plan, a swim pool, gift shop, massage services, internet access for your laptop or use of their computer. Also enjoy a wireless connection while sipping on coffee from the restaurant or a drink at one of two bars.
Atlantis Resorts also has a camera room with adequate electrical charging stations and shelves to store your equipment. The dive shop is located on the beach side of the resort and has a large locker area for divers to store their gear between dives and suit up for your next dive. The rinse tanks and hot shower are easily accessible to use whenever you want between or after dives.
The staff will carry your tank and BC to/from the dive boats between your diving. All you have to do is suit up, show up for the dive briefing and get on the boat to dive. The dive sites vary from 2 min. to 20 minutes. You will want to add on night diving to their 4 tank a day package and a day trip to Verde Island during your stay. Atlantis Resort, Puerto Galera also offers nitrox, tech diving and diving training classes.
